This report contains output control simulation data for the introduction of renewable energy sources toward carbon neutrality in 2050.<\/p>\n

Based on the \u201cOutput Control Simulation of Photovoltaic Power Generation to 2040 (First Edition, 2016 – Sixth Edition, 2023),\u201d the report has been made consistent with the target values and planned status toward carbon neutrality in 2050 for the amount of PV power introduced, wind power introduced, grid enhancement, and storage batteries introduced, etc. In addition, other assumptions were completely revised, and the overall simulation calculation was re-calculated.<\/p>\n

In this report, RTS forecast PV installed capacity in Japan, considering the changes in society, economy, policies, markets, products, technologies, prices, etc. over the next decade or so. We analyzed the price outlook, changes in the social environment, market changes and prospects for technological improvements and forecasted the PV installed capacity by application and system size.<\/p>\n

Our forecasts are based on two scenarios: the “BAU (Business as Usual) scenario”<\/strong> and the \u201cAccelerated scenario”<\/strong>. The former scenario assumes the achievements of the introduction target for 2030 under the Sixth Strategic Energy Plan, whereas the latter scenario assumes that the environment for PV introduction will be significantly improved and developed.<\/p>\n
