The Agency for Natural Resources and Energy (ANRE) under the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) held the 63rd meeting of the Subcommittee on the Large-Scale Introduction of Renewable Energy and the Next-Generation Power Network, reporting on the progress of renewable energy dissemination and future initiatives by the four related ministries.\u00a0<\/p>\n

    \n
  • The PV installed capacity as of the end of December 2023 was 73.1 GW (2030 introduction target: 103.5 to 117.6 GW), and the capacity of FIT\/FIP approved PV projects which have not started operation was 6.7 GW >\/li><\/li>\n
  • From the end of FY 2019 to the end of December 2023, 17.3 GW was additionally introduced, and non-FIT\/ FIP installations are also progressing. The installed capacity in FY 2023 is currently under estimation<\/li>\n
  • The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), the Ministry of the Environment (MoE), the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT), and the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF) quantitatively report on the progress of policy measures<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n
