Hokkaido Construction Department compiled the results of market research toward achieving the introduction of renewable energy utilizing unused land of sewerage treatment systems it manages. The applicable facilities are the following four sewerage treatment systems: 1) Ishikari Bay New Port Area public sewerage system; 2) Ishikari River Basin sewerage system; 3) Tokachi River Basin sewerage system; and 4) Hakodate Bay Basin sewerage system. The department received answers that all the four systems have the feasibility of onsite PPA projects, and two out of the four systems, Ishikari River Basin and Hakodate Bay Basin sewerage systems, have the feasibility of offsite PPA projects. The department proposed that the period of PV PPA will be 15 to 20 years, the unit price of a contract will be fixed based on a long-term contract, and project developers will construct and conduct operation and maintenance of the
