The government has set for the first time a target for the introduction of solar power generation for various types of municipal facilities.<\/p>\n

The total target for facility-wide introduction in FY 2030 is 4.82 GW, with targets set for different types of facilities such as elementary and junior high schools at 1,331 MW, public housing at 440 MW, social and sports facilities at 327 MW, and administrative facilities at 188 MW.<\/p>\n

  • The government set a PV installed capacity target of 4.82GW in the facilities of local governments in FY 2030<\/li>\n
  • By facility type, elementary and junior high school facilities have a maximum target capacity of 1.33 GW, followed by waste treatment facilities with 0.44 GW<\/li>\n
  • Aiming for 6.0 GW of PV installations in the public sector by FY 2030, with the installation target (0.06 GW) at government-owned facilities and other additional initiatives<\/li>\n
  • The roofs and walls of each government agency’s facilities will be investigated and targets for perovskite solar cells (PSCs) will be considered<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n

    A survey on roofs and walls suitable for the installation of PSCs at the facilities owned by ministries and agencies<\/span> is planned to be conducted in FY 2024 Based on the survey results, targets for PCS will be considered.<\/span><\/p>\n
